Bodh Gaya is a tourist place and the Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Gaya district of the Bihar.
The Bodh Gaya is famous for the Mahabodhi Temple and it was under the Bodhi tree that of the Gautama Buddha which is attained enlightenment.
It is now is one of the UNESCO World heritage sites and a lot of foreign countries, including Japan, China, which helped the Indian government for the facilities of Buddhist pilgrims.
This place has full of Engnertic and Peaceful and their pilgrims for all through the year from India.
Many people come from abroad to pay their homage in the monasteries temples and remnants of the Bodhi Tree.
It was located near the river of the Niranjana. The Bodh Gaya was earlier know as Uruwela.
Until the 18th century, the name of the place is know has the Sambodhi, Vajrasana or Mahabodhi.
It was known as the four important Buddhist sites which including the Kushinagar, Lumbini, and Sarnath.
History of Bodh Gaya Temple
Anciently this place is known as the Uruwela, and the Bodh Gaya is located in the banks of the river Niranjana its know as the river Lilajan.
The King Ashoka is believed to build the first temple on this land.
As per this theory, Buddha was born in 563 BC on land which belongs to Nepal it is the auspicious night of the Baisakhi Purnima.
There was born as the son of a King of Prince Siddhartha renounced his world possessions at the age of 29.
And he traveled far and wide in the search of the eternal truth.
After the observation of his self – mortification for 6 years he did not attain the Vimukti so he gave up the practice.
Their tree under he gained the enlightenment is the renowned Bodhi Tree.
He gained the many numerous followers in the days to follow the village turned into the pilgrimage center.
Emperor Ashoka himself is one of the biggest disciples and he builds the Mahabodhi temple.
Their divine village built the momentum around the 13th century and there plenty of the shrines and the temples built.
Later on, British rule that the city was in the restored in the pure form that scared.
At now present the city was one of the famous for the Buddhist pilgrims sites.
And it is famous to declare the UNESCO world by heritage site.
How to Reach Bodh Gaya
At the Bodh Gaya, there is the nearest airport at the Gaya from the 17 km with regular flights to and from multiple cities.
There is the Nearest have the Gaya Railway station which there from you can get easily bus or three-wheel taxis.
There will be having regular bus services from the Varanasi, Nalanda, Rajgir, and Kathmandu.

Best time to Visit at Bodh Gaya
Here the best time to visit from October to March and according to the weather condition the tourist place there flock here throughout the year.
In the post of October there you will get to see a lot of Monks.
The Dharamshala Bodh Gaya is a city that has the colored full. And having to see such Maroon robes.
There some Visitors also flock the here month of the Baisakh (April-May)and to celebrate the Buddha Purnima.
It was auspicious day there when the Siddhartha had attained enlightenment.
This place is very peaceful and very calm you get here many of the people.
Have they come for Meditation also and when you get here the meditation your mind becomes very fresh and very happily.
Many of the people from out of the country also visit the place because they like our Indian Culture.
